Wallace Chadwick’s Career Highlights

Additional highlights during his tenure in the Chesapeake Police Department include:

  • One of the 2002 recipients of the Martin Luther King award for service and
    dedication
    as results of volunteering to work at Ground Zero shortly after the September 11th attack.

  • Deputized as Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Federal Bureau of
    Investigation (FBI) Task Force Officer. Investigated and successfully prosecuted gang members in the City of Chesapeake and Hampton Roads.

  • January 2024, Awarded the Outstanding Teamwork Award-Diving Operations

  • January 2024, Awarded the Chiefs Award of Excellence-Diving Operations

  • March 2022, Awarded the Officer of the Month for Direct Loan Mortgage company for outstanding community relations and leadership

  • July 2021, City of Chesapeake Outstanding Teamwork Award outstanding

  • August 2011, Chesapeake Police Department Meritorious Police Service Award, in
    recognition of Honoring Fallen Law Enforcement Officers lost in the line of duty

  • December 2010, United States Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation for
    Operation Dry Water program combating Boating Under the Influence (BUI) cases

  • October 2001, City Manager Resolution: Commendation from City Council for
    efforts of Search and Rescue in New York City after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center September 2001

Wallace has served as a Founder and current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization that raises monetary funds for families of fallen Law Enforcement Officers.

  • In that time the organization has grown from 100 members to over 1,000. Our membership comes from 41 states, U.K., and Germany.

  • Under his leadership, they have raised more than $10.5 million dollars in support of our programs and charities.

  • Law Enforcement United’s flagship event is the Road to Hope. A 150+ mile 3-4 day bicycle ride starting from Chesapeake VA to Washington D.C. to kick of National Police Week. Other routes include: World Trade Center, NY., Reading, PA., Atlantic City, NJ., Cumberland, MD., Roanoke,VA. and our long ride from San Francisco to San Diego, CA.

  • Promoting safety on the job while cycling in his bullet proof vest with our Project Active Armor Program. Proving if they can wear their vests while cycling, law enforcement can wear their vests on duty.

  • We are a 100% volunteer run non-profit organization with no salaries or stipends paid. We believe in the mission and not salaries. In 16 years, Wallaces has drawn zero dollars in any compensation for the work he does.
